The girl tries to clean up the drops of
puke
with her old handkerchief.
Then she unfolds it and sits.
What a silly girl!
She seems tired, she is so quiet.
She could not remember when
the last storm had broken
In her sweet marmalade world.
She embraces sadness.
What an enigma! Nothing there.
So she puts on her smile.
Her face twists into a fishhook.
It is not like any smile
we would see on TV.
She puts on that devious smile.
And she looks up.
The sky is pale blue.
The sky is pale blue.
She tries to make it bluer,
Brighter, as she is.
But she can't.
The sky remains dim and indifferent.
Some people wave from a distance
and she is unsure whether
they are true or just a mirage.
Numb, she cannot feel anything.
The sky, the waves, herself.
A spurt of happiness spouts
in her frigid heart.
Like two bodies occupying the same spot,
Separate, the energies do not mingle.
She sees the boy approaching and cringes.
What a foolish girl!
He puts his hands between her thighs and
twinkles.
But she averts her glance and looks down.
She thinks about suicide
In a green meadow, full of sunlight.
And that she has never been given
a diamond yet.
It's no fun at all, she knows she can't.
The boy starts fleeing.
The girl closes her eyes and imagines
what it would have been like if
she had not existed at all.
in and out of existence.
What a preposterous girl!
Then, she decides to travel.
But she doesn't know if she is going to Estonia or not.
She feels Venus is no longer in Scorpio
Maybe Saturn is taking over.
What a lack of perspective, girl!
She goes to the verge of the lake
Crying, the tears ooze on her cheek toward
her chin
and they blur the reflection of her own
image
and that of the sky.
More tears and they are her present
to the sky under her. Her diamonds.
She wants to tell the world, but she keeps
Mute as if in a vow. That's her new voice.
She has
started packing now.
Be sure you kiss her goodbye, I don't think she is ever coming back.
Be sure you kiss her goodbye, I don't think she is ever coming back.
Esperava ter mais um pouco do refrão "What a silly girl". Acho que dava para tirar algumas explicações e colocar mais alguns discursos indiretos livres nessa quase prosa poética! Bjs
