Diário de bordo - dia 01-07 - França

De novo o albergue na França. Nosso primeiro café da manhã! Ah, Jules Ferry!
Primeira parada a torre. Mas pra que lado fica? Pega o guia, sim?

Depois, começa a bater a fome. Vamos procurar a Champs e dar uma voltinha lá. Dizem que é tão chique. Que sol do caramba, torrando a minha mente. Ainda bem que passei filtro solar. Nossa, ali é o Arco. Era essa a Champs-Elysee?
Bom, procuremos um restaurante. Ei!
Agora chegou a hora do museu, certo?
Puxa, quanta obra legal, quanta coisa interessante. Viva a arte!
Mas chega, né? Vamos?
Ufa, quase 20h, a ultima viagem... olha ali, ola acolá...
Vamos descer no Louvre?

O ar é diferente, a iluminação... Calma, moça, não precisa me morder. Obrigado. Ufa!

Quero dormir!

Setting out

Then I take the old amateurish harp from under the bed.
I feel the dust moving out of its surface and sticking to my finger.
It was my great-grandmother's, I wonder.
Now, it accidentally belongs to me.
I look at that wooden box, the wires seeming to yearn for some rust to eat them.
Maybe tired of having been streched since what? the 40's?
I look at the hole in the middle of that trapezoid, hollow. Is that a mirror?
I reach out for a sheet. Do you really think I can play it without following the guidelines?
It's the one. That one. I place the lines on the paper under the wires and I place the tip of my right index finger against the chord.
Now, I just have to follow the dotted line, note after note.
Tan, tan, ran, ran, ran...
My mind withdraws and I see him in front of me.
This makes the distance increase. Who are you, stranger that I love?
Why did we get away? How come?
And you, that should be the one to protect me and care for me, throwing words like darts.
They pierce and I cringe.
Your hands are so cold. You look so thin.
I wish things were like they used to be.
I guess it's too much wishing.
Tan, tan, ran, ran, ran.

And as he vanishes I see her.
The one who should be something else.
The one who made me change
Up to a point I was lost and found.
She who moved mountains and was still a moaning baby.
She from her pedestal was strangely still looking up to me.
She just excused, mumbled some words, it's better if..., we'd better stop...
I bowed. I said I agree, you always know what's right and hugged her, so that she could not see the tears running down my face. They would probably make her hair and shoulder wet. But we only notice what our desire allows.
Why are you avoiding the mirror, my friend? Why is your handshake so feeble?
Tan, ran, ran, ran,
ran, ran
ran, ran
Tan, ran, ran, ran,tan
Tan, ran, tan, tan, tan

Suddenly, I see them no more.
I feel the warmth and I have to use my hands to protect my eyes from the blinding light.
I am the new Elijah
I savor the past, feast on scraps of what people did to hurt me.
It's so inviting, womb-like.
I climb one step. I stop to give them a chance to say goodbye.
Another one, and I am already grasping the sense that my soul is striping off some feelings.
(but I am here in my mold?)
I penetrate this chariot of fire, softly, gently, as if it was home.
Where to? the angelical conductor asks in a mellow voice, firm but melancholic.
He sees it as clearly as I do.
To the old continent, please.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds

The girl tries to clean the puke spots with her old handkerchief.
She unfolds and sits on it.
What a silly girl!
She seems tired, but she was so quiet.
She could not remember when the last storm had broken into
Her sweet marmelade world.
She rehearses some sadness.
What an enigma. Nothing comes.
Then she puts on her smile.
Not any smile we would see on tv
She puts that devious smile on.
And she looks up.
The sky is pale blue.
She tries to make it bluer, brighter
as she is
But she can't.
The sky keeps dim and indifferent.
Some people wave to her from a distance and she is unsure
whether they are true or just a mirage.
She feels she cannot feel anything.
The sky, the waves, herself.
She feels some happiness settling a dwelling in her
frigid heart.
But it's like two bodies occupying the same spot.
They are divided, they do not mingle.
She sees the boy approaching and she cringes.
What a foolish girl!
He puts his hands between her thighs and twinkles.
But she averts her glance and looks up.
She thinks abou suicide
But she was never given a diamon yet.
So it's no fun at all, she knows she can't.
The boy is fleeing.
The girl closes her eyes and imagines what it would be like if she did not exist at all.
She wishes she could blink in and out of existence.
What a preposturous girl!
Then, she decides to travel.
But she doesn't know if she is going to estonia or not.
She feels Venus is no longer in Scorpio and maybe Saturn is taking over.
What a lack of perspective, girl!
She goes to the margin of the lake
And cries and the tears ooze on her cheek to her chin and they reach the reflection of her own blurry image and she sees the sky.
More tears and they are her present to the sky under her.
She wants to tell the world, but she remains silent
Mute as in a vow. that's her new voice.
she can start packing now.
Be sure you kiss her goodbye, I don't think she is ever coming back.

Sins or Sense

(fade in)
So, a box I am.
Carved with utmost care.
I don't feel weathered but
I am as old as time.
Had I feelings,
I would feel proud
'cause I am a god's given.
My secret is that I contain all the evils there are.
Diseases, misconceptions, extreme emotions, poison, contempt.
I must admit I only named a few
But I leave to you the gap filling.
My weakest point is that I have a lid.
The smallest part of myself.
I have a lid though I am resilient enough to sustain and imprison
such entities that inhabit my inside.
I cannot embrace the edges of the lid
Power to entrap, but helpless to avoid releasing.
Sorrow takes over
For it is totally out of me. Then I learn and pray.

(zoom out)
So Pandora I am.
I was born from love and
this universe is my home.
I dwell and I feel.
There is so much of it I cannot understand
What strikes me most
is a certain pain I feel inside, quite deep.
It's like a hunger which makes me
dizzy
it's like a voice guiding me and
disposing of me as its puppet
it tells me it has discovered the wheel
and tamed fire and launched satellites,
probes.
it boasts of having created tribes, kingdoms, republics and
utopias.
An assumed surrogate mother to philosophy
It takes me away.
But as a pet, it demands I feed it
It wants to be catered to.
It squirms and screams.
Alas, should I not take it seriously
It becomes whimsical and bad-tempered
it starts a storm in my soul
unearthing and revolving
I go crazy and come back in a blink of eye
So I want to know who you are
What you do and who you love
Do you love?
Do you care? Do you really mind?
Mind the gap.
But for me the gap gets blurry
That energy poisoning my guts and
moving my limbs
I feel like puking it
but I can only cry blood.
The urge to know, to discover
I become indiffent to indifference.
It's gratuitous, it's pointless
I am aware.
I cannot fight it though or try not to
So I open the lid
And my eyes goggle
I burst into laughter
I accept it.
Laughter becomes a shriek
I am the bearer of despair
I am Eve and that's my sin
But Adam is curious too
I could have chosen not to
And my last sigh is
nothing else but a question
will you forgive me?

(zoom out)
(camera traveling from right to left)
(zoom in)
So Man I am.
Molded from clay and dust.
Dweller of Paradise
Living in a Golden Age.
I am self-control and balance
I cannot but be innocent.
But fire and water fall from the sky
We twirl and understand.
We crack.
Then at this very moment
We get tainted.
All stumbling and dying
Questions arising
A wish to know better
I greet all the evils
and they suit us well.
No more Paradise.
I am everything, but who am I?
Who are you?
Can I touch you?
(fade out)
(voiceover)
Therefore I am
The Box Pandora Man.
Curiosity and freedom
Self-control and shame.
Nonetheless,
life is a flower
"they want me, they want me not...
they want me, they want me not..."

Salvo engano

A resposta:

Starless Sky (yet it feels like home)
